THE ORGANISATION
Our client is a private training provider , with its head office and a campus located in Melbourne CBD, and additional campuses in Port Melbourne and Hobart. They deliver Vocational Education Training courses at various Australian Qualification Framework levels in addition to English language intensive courses for overseas students.
THE POSITION
The college is seeking self-motivated Painting & Decorating Industry professionals with a passion to pass on the skills & knowledge to the aspiring professionals and to deliver and assess the following course:
CPC30611 – Certificate III in Painting and Decorating
Key duties and responsibilities
- Delivering and assessing the units of competency within the program
- In conjunction with student support services and RTO/Academic Manager or authorised representative, ensuring appropriate course progress
- Proven ability to follow training and assessment strategies (TAS’s) to meet training package requirements and Orange International College program requirements
- Maintenance and submission of accurate and reliable assessment records for all students
- Reviewing and improving training delivery, assessment processes, and assessment tools.
- Trainer Matrix and Professional development – Must be willing to maintain and update as per Orange International College policy and standards
- Location: Port Melbourne and Melbourne CBD
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- CPC30211 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with TAELLN411 or equivalent and TAEASS502 or equivalent
- Must meet Industry currency and Professional development requirements as per SRTO 2015 Clause 1.13 – 1.16
- Sound knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training System including SRTO 2015 Standards, ESOS National Code
- Current Working with Children Check and willing to undertake a National Police check
- Minimum 5 years’ industry experience or above
- Experience in the implementation of training programs in line with Training Package requirements
- Experience in the development of learning and assessment resources and validation
- Demonstrated competence in the facilitation of both group and individual learning
- Proven and effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven competence in a range of information technology applications, particularly Google and Microsoft Office suite products

Desirable:
- Experience working with both Domestic and International students.
- Current first aid certificate
- National Police Clearance certificate
- Proven ability to develop training and assessment strategies (TAS’s) to meet training package requirements
- Experience in online training delivery
- Weekend availability
- WiseNet (Student Management System) and Google Classroom (Learning Management System) experience
