We hope that our career advice session will be the starting point of your journey towards your career goal. Once you have participated in this initial session, you are then able to select one of our other sessions tailored to particular areas. If you need more than one session, we can discuss package options. This is a one-on-one session.
The career advice session will include:

Job Search Coaching
Job search in today’s market is very competitive and can be a stressful and disheartening experience.
This session will provide you with:
- Objective advice about “what is working” and “what is not working” in your job search.
- Assist you in discovering ways to access the hidden job market.
- Identification of your key strengths and transferable skills
- Provide you with an action plan to assist you with tapping into your networks and expanding them further.
- Help to structure job searches to ensure that you are using the most suitable tools and techniques available to research and network potential opportunities
- Review and feedback on your resume, cover letter, selection criteria responses and LinkedIn profile.
Resume writing and cover letters
This session will include:
- Consultation via Skype or phone (approximately 30 – 45 mins duration) to focus on key strengths, skills, personality attributes and achievements.
- A modern resume design to make sure that your resume gets the attention of recruiters and potential employers
- Review two draft versions in 2 weeks before receiving the final version.
- A professional resume in Word and PDF format.
- A professional cover letter in the same style and format as your resume
- A cover letter tailored to your ideal role in highlighting essential skills and experience
Resume Review
This service will include:
- Content and format review
- Minor changes and format editing to help with communicating necessary updates
- Feedback consultation via email, Skype or phone
LinkedIn Profile Writing
If you find it hard to take the time to write a LinkedIn profile or find it challenging to write about yourself, then our coaches will develop a complete profile that communicates strengths and achievements to your ideal audience.
This service will include:
- A standout headline
- A summary written for your target audience
- Experience section highlighting your achievements
- All relevant sections completed, including Skills, Education, Volunteering, related Groups, Interests etc
Career Development Coaching session – For qualified and experienced workers in their field wanting to enter the Vet sector as a Trainer and Assessor.
Career Advice: Becoming a Vocational Education Trainer (4 x sessions)
Our ‘Becoming a Vocational Education Trainer’ Career Coaching package includes four sessions:
Session 1 – Overview of being a Trainer/Assessor and your career history and qualifications. After session 1, this will give you a good understanding of this role which will enable you to make an informed decision whether this is a pathway you would like to take. If you would like to proceed further, then you will be able to book into session 2.

Session 2 – You have decided to take the next step in your career and become a Trainer and Assessor in Vocational Education. You will attend session three once you have completed your course.
You will cover:
- Overview of the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- A list of Training Providers that deliver the TAE qualification will be provided.
- Discussion about different options with training providers regarding the mode of delivery, duration of the training, fees etc
- Information about various funding options available for this course providers
- Other Links & Resources
Session 3 – You have completed the TAE, well done! This session will help you prepare your Trainer Maxtrix.
What is covered:
- What is a trainer matrix, and why do we need to compile a trainer matrix?
- What a trainer matrix looks like
- Putting together your trainer matrix
Session 4 – Recruitment – Recruitment consultation, including a registration process with Career Calling Jobs after completion of the course and end of the career coaching sessions.
What is covered:
- Registration questions to be answered regarding what work you are looking for including location, availability, salary expectation etc.
- Review your resume and cover letter
